Carpet Dynamic Load Tester

Application
Carpet Dynamic Load Tester is used to test the thickness loss of carpets under dynamic load conditions. It is suitable for evaluating all types of carpets with uniform thickness and consistent structure. For carpets with uneven thickness or non-uniform structure, different areas can be tested separately.
Working Principle
The test carpet is placed on the testing platform. A weighted pressure foot applies vertical impact motion repeatedly over a fixed travel distance. Meanwhile, the specimen is slowly moved in the horizontal direction, ensuring continuous compression across the sample surface. After the test is completed, the thickness of the specimen before and after testing is compared to evaluate thickness loss.

l The horizontal motion system adopts a stepper-driven linear module for precise control of horizontal displacement.
l An imported high-precision infrared displacement sensor is optionally available for automatic measurement of specimen height variation.
l A transparent acrylic observation door allows clear monitoring of the test process.
l Equipped with data query and printing functions, as well as power-off protection and automatic data storage.
l A built-in micro printer is configured to print test reports.
FAQ
1. What is the Carpet Dynamic Load Tester?
It is a laboratory instrument used to evaluate the durability of carpets by measuring thickness loss after repeated dynamic loading, simulating real-life foot traffic.
2. What does the test measure?
The test measures the thickness loss of a carpet specimen before and after repeated impacts, which reflects its resilience and wear resistance.
3. Which types of carpets can be tested?
It is suitable for all carpets with uniform thickness and structure. For carpets with uneven surfaces, different areas can be tested separately.
4. What is the purpose of horizontal movement during testing?
The horizontal displacement ensures that the entire test area is evenly compressed, providing more realistic and consistent results.
5. Can thickness measurement be automated?
Yes, an optional high-precision infrared displacement sensor can automatically measure thickness changes with high accuracy.
