2 types of Light Accelerated Aging Chamber exposure
Light Accelerated Aging Chamber can provide corresponding environmental simulation and accelerated test for scientific research, product development and quality control, and can be used for the selection of new materials, the improvement of existing materials or the change test of durability after the change of material composition.
When the UV aging accelerator tester does aging test, the surface temperature of the specimen is an important exposure parameter, in general, high temperature will accelerate the degradation process of the polymer, the allowable test temperature should be based on the material under test and aging performance evaluation index. Fluorescent UV lamps emit less infrared light than xenon and carbon arc lamps, and the heating effect on the surface of the specimen is basically formed by convection of hot air. Therefore, the temperature difference between the black plate thermometer, the black standard thermometer, the specimen surface and the air in the exposure chamber is small.

The following two UV Aging Test Chamber exposure methods are recommended:
Exposure method 1
Specimen after a period of light exposure, followed by a period of no irradiation (when the temperature changes and the formation of condensation on the specimen) cycle test. Test period in accordance with the relevant standards, such as no specified cycle conditions, the following cycle is recommended.
In the black standard temperature 60 ℃ ± 3 ℃ irradiation exposure for 4h or 8h, then, in the black standard temperature 50 ℃ ± 3 ℃ without irradiation condensation exposure for 4h.
Note: The aging degradation of some polymers (e.g., PVC) is temperature sensitive, in which case an irradiation exposure temperature below 60°C (e.g., 50°C) is recommended to simulate colder climates.
When selecting an irradiation exposure followed by condensation exposure procedure, the allowable irradiation or condensation exposure period is zuì short of 2 h to ensure that the conditions are balanced across the exposure periods.
Exposure method 2
The specimen is continuously exposed to irradiation and has a cycle test with regular water spray. The test period is specified in the relevant standards. If not specified, the following test conditions are recommended.

Irradiation exposure at black standard temperature 50°C ± 3°C and air relative humidity (10±5)﹪ for 5h, then, continued irradiation exposure at black standard temperature 20°C ± 3°C with water spraying for 1h.
Note: ①: The specimen exposed surface is moistened by moisture condenser in the equipment. Moisture is generated by heating water in the container set below the specimen holder.
②: When the equipment does not meet the exposure mode 1, the method of providing control of the relative humidity in the exposure chamber or spraying with pure water or aqueous solution simulating acid rain can be adopted. Use water with reference to GB/T 9344-88 requirements.
