Ink printing durability test machine

The Printing Ink Decolorization Tester, also called an Ink Abrasion Tester or Friction Tester, is designed to evaluate the abrasion resistance, adhesion, and durability of printed ink layers, PS photosensitive coatings, and other surface coatings. It is ideal for testing dry/wet friction, bleaching, paper fuzzing, and special friction performance, providing insight into poor abrasion resistance, ink offset, marking, or coating delamination.
Equipped with microcomputer control, high-precision linear reciprocating friction mechanism, and LCD display, the tester ensures accurate, repeatable results while simplifying operator input and test monitoring.
Standards Compliant
ASTM D5264 – Standard test method for printed material abrasion resistance
GB 7706 – Toppan decorative print testing
TAPPI UM486, JIS K5701, ISO 9000 – Compatible international standards
Applications
Testing abrasion resistance of printed inks and coatings
Evaluating adhesion and rubbing resistance of PS photosensitive layers
Analyzing coating durability, low hardness performance, and wear tendencies
Quality control in printing, packaging, and coated materials production
Predicting potential product failures due to poor ink or coating performance
Principle of Operation
The tester operates by rubbing the sample against a friction paper or counter body under a controlled load and speed. Changes in ink density or coating thickness before and after testing are measured to evaluate abrasion resistance.
The microcomputer-controlled system allows:
Input of standard or custom test parameters
Automatic test execution with preset friction cycles
Audible alert when the test is complete
Parameter memory retention after power cycles
The friction mechanism uses a high-precision micromotor and gear-driven linear reciprocating motion for consistent and accurate abrasion simulation.
