Rubber Din Abrasion Tester Instructions for Use and Caution
Rubber Din Abrasion Tester is suitable for abrasion resistance of elastic materials, rubber, tires, conveyor belts, shoe soles, soft synthetic leather and other materials.
Instructions for use of Rubber Din Abrasion Tester:
Under a specified contact pressure and a given area, the sample is held at a certain angle to the sandpaper and the amount of wear produced by rubbing the sample on a certain grade of sandpaper is measured.
Sandpaper is wrapped around the surface of the drum, and the sample is pressed against the drum with the sandpaper, causing the sample to move laterally along the drum. The wear occurs at one end of the cylindrical sample, the mass loss of the sample is measured and the volume wear is calculated from the density of the sample.

The tester meets the requirements of DIN-53516, ISO/DIS-4649, BS 903 part 9 and GB-9867.

Volume(approx.) :70cm × 30cm × 30cm
Weight(approx.) :50kg
Power supply:1∮ AC 220 volt 3A (according to the country or name)
Instructions for use:
1.Power conditions::Please configure the correct power supply according to the label on the nameplate of the machine.
The input voltage error range should be within 10%, and the machine should be properly grounded to prevent the machine.
Leakage can cause damage.
2.Working environment requirements:Temperature 23?2℃Humidity 60?5%
3. This instrument should be placed on a horizontal table.
4. The size of the test piece is:φφφ16mm, thickness is 6mm~14mm.
Note
The specimen can be shaped by hand with standard molds or drilled by DIN drilling machine, not perforated.
The thickness of the specimen is not less than 2mm.
The thickness of the test piece is more than 2mm but less than 6mm, and the hardness of the test piece is not less than 8IRHD,φ16mm material (such as resin glue), so that the thickness is more than 6mm but its total thickness can not exceed 14mm.
If the test material is loose and empty, it is good to paste a hardness of not less than 8IRHD,16mm material (such as resin glue). This can make the test piece firmly fixed on the chuck.
At the same time, the specimen will not be deformed on the chuck, but its total thickness should not exceed 14mm.
The above is the recommended standard, please refer to the relevant standards for details.
