Floorings Thermal Radiation Panel Tester

The Flooring Radiant Panel Tester is designed to evaluate the fire performance of floor-covering materials exposed to a controlled radiant heat source. It determines the critical radiant flux, an important indicator of flame spread resistance under specified test conditions, and measures smoke development through an optical system.
The apparatus uses a porous ceramic radiant panel measuring 300 × 450 mm, inclined at 30°, to expose the specimen to a controlled thermal radiation environment. During testing, a pilot ignition source initiates combustion, while the specimen's burning behavior and smoke-related optical attenuation are monitored.
The instrument features a calibrated radiant heat measurement system, an optical transmission measurement system, and PLC-based automatic control. A 10.2-inch touchscreen, USB and RS232 interfaces, and computer-based reporting support convenient operation and data analysis.
It is suitable for evaluating carpets, cork, wood, rubber, plastic floor coverings, and other compatible flooring materials in fire-testing laboratories and building-material inspection facilities.
Application
(1) Textile carpets and carpet tiles.
(2) Cork and wood flooring materials.
(3) Rubber flooring and rubber-based coverings.
(4) Plastic flooring and polymer-based floor coverings.
(5) Coated flooring materials and other compatible floor-covering products.
(6) Fire performance evaluation of building flooring materials.
(7) Critical radiant flux determination and smoke development assessment.
