ICI Mace Snag Tester is an instrument for testing the firmness of textile yarn or fiber. The test method is to wrap the test sample on a circular roller, and then put a copper ball (11 tungsten carbide hooking needles are distributed on the surface of the copper ball) on the surface of the roller, and use a motor to drive the roller to rotate, so that the hooking needle is on the surface of the roller. The test sample is tumbled, and after reaching a certain number of rotations, the sample is taken out, placed in the rating light box to observe whether the yarn or fiber is caught, and then the degree of snagging of the sample is rated.

Scope of application:

Knitted fabrics, woven fabrics and other fabrics that are easy to snag, especially suitable for chemical fiber filaments and their textured yarn fabrics.
